Welcome Letter from Principal
Dear Parents, Families and Community Members,
My name is L’Tanya Murray and I have been the Principal of Dare Learning Academy since January of 2018. This is actually my second stint at DLA as I served in multiple capacities previously for almost 10 years. Needless to say, I was very honored to return as the principal.
Dare Learning Academy has been through lots of transitions over the years and is currently operating as a school within a school at each of the high school sites. We are fortunate to have three great site facilitators.

We contribute our success to building positive, nurturing relationships with students and their families. We individualize instruction and set personal goals with students to help them be successful not just in school, but in life. We accept referrals from the high schools based on student needs, academic issues, behavioral/emotional concerns and/or other at-risk factors that could impede a student from on-time graduation. We are the top tier of the pyramid of interventions and strategies put in place through the MTSS process.
